The Kinder- und Jugendtanzensemble Neuenhagen

History Kinder- und Jugendtanzensemble Neuenhagen The Kinder- und Jugendtanzensemble Neuenhagen e.V. was founded 1989 from Dance Pedagogue and Artist Director Simone Meuche.Today around 500 children, teens and adults from more than 14 nations around the world join in their mutual hobby: dance.Children Dance, national Folk Dance, Ballet, Jazz Dance, Modern Dance, Tap Dance and Ballroom Dance are all part of our courses and training programs in our dance ensemble.Guest performances took us to many different countries, for example Cyprus, Great Britain, France, Italy, Serbia, Hungary, Poland, Denmark, Austria, Ukraine, Latvia, USA, Morocco and Russia. Furthermore, our dancers participated in various television shows and programs, theatre productions and numerous events and shows in Berlin and in throughout Germany.One special part in the work of the Kinder- und Jugendtanzensemble Neuenhagen e.V. is the participation in manifold Dance Contests, national- and international wide. One of our latest achievements therefore is the participation of the German Championships where we attained first place in “Classical Dance- Masterclass”.On international competitions we achieved best nominations and we won the first place in the various dance categories more then 100 times. Additionally, receiving the Grand Prix as a special price for the best choreographic work.In 2017 our founder and artist director Simone Meuche received the highest possible award in Germany, the “Bundesverdienstkreuz”, to be given from the president of Germany, Frank Walter Steinmeier who is, next to Olaf Scholz, the highest political institution.For several years we are intensively engaged in the research and the implementation of traditions and Folk Dance of our region of originBrandenburg. We are therefore especially thrilled to took part in diverse Dance Festivals where we could present our own cultural heritage and experience culture, traditions and customs of other countries in the world and in the world of dance
