The presence of group dates back to the 1940s, with the already disappeared Feminine Section. That is why nowadays our Ensemble is considered, without the hint of a doubt, the cradle of local folklore and the oldest within the Canary Folklore. Parallel to this activity, there is also a “Handicraft School”, in which numerous attendants exercise in the learning of a diversity of artisan works, using as raw materials the palm, cane and pita fiber, with a special dedication to the famous openwork.
The “Coros Y Danzas De Ingenio” has participated the Balearics, Madeira, Lisbon, San Antonio, Texas, USA, Madrid, Spain, Munich, Nuremberg in Germany, Wuzzburg, Brujas in Belgium, France, Rome, Pisa in Italy, the visit of the King of Spain, Ucraine, Kiev, Saint Petersburg, Moscow in Russia, Oslo and Thonheim in Norway, Bremen (Germany) Expo-98, Lisbon in Portugal, Gannat in France, Mexico, China and many more.
